Callie (dubbed "The World's Cutest Dog") came to live with me on May 17, 2008. She won her way into my heart because of her incredible cuteness.
Callie was rescued from a high-kill animal shelter on Mothers Day, again because of her incredible cuteness, by a friend of mine. When she made a comment that she may possibly be re-homing her, I jumped on that opportunity.
Callie was born approximately Feb. 1, 2008. She is an Australian Shephard / Terrier (something) mix. There may be more than that, but for sure those breeds. She is very intelligent and is learning proper behavior very quickly. It didn't take but a day or so for Callie to learn to keep up with the big dogs. She has learned to respect them ... and at the same time, she keeps them on their toes with her constant Play-Play-Play.
I am looking forward to a long, fun life with this little girl.

Buried Alive
Saturday (May 31, 2008) Callie went to the beach for the first time. She discovered that digging in the sand was much more fun and easier then digging in the backyard. So she dug, and dug, and dug. Sand was flinging everywhere. She dug a crater so big that she could lie down in it and just have her paws and head sticking out.
For fun, I started to push sand around her and over her. She didn't budge ... she dug her hole and she's staying in it. Before long, I had her completely buried in the sand, except for her head.
That was the funniest thing to see ... a dog's head pivoting around sticking out of the sand. Other dogs came up to her to investigate, people stopped and stared ... but she didn't budge an inch.
The moment I got a treat out for her however, she came right out of her hole and wanted more treats.
