Bear is a 6 year old Havana Brown. Bear came to me in April 2004 from Second Chance Adoptions in Huntington Beach, CA, when he was 1 year old. Bear was released to rescue because he didn't get along with their other cat. When I adopted Bear, he was a very angry boy. After about a couple of weeks, his entire personality changed. He just needed someone to love him for who he is.
Bear is very outgoing, is my door greeter, is very talk-a-tive (always having to have the last word), and behaves very much like a dog. Bear walks around the house with a toy in his mouth, trying to meow at the same time. Bear also knows his name and comes when he's called. However, Bear doesn't not like to be held and puts up a very noisy complaint letting you know how unhappy he is.
Although Bear, and all my kitties, are 100% indoor cats, Bear takes every opportunity he can to dash out an open door... then plays the little "catch me if you can" game. If it wasn't dangerous to let him outside, he would be a very happy kitty to spend time outside.
